The Israeli Museum of Caricature and Comics will award the Golden Pencil prize for 2011 to Yaakov Kirschen, creator of Dry Bones, on Thursday, February 16, 2012 at 19:00. A gallery talk with Kirschen and launching of a catalogue of his works will take place on April 20, 2012 at 11:00.
Brooklyn born Kirschen started Dry Bones in 1973, the name inspired by the Biblical vision of the prophet Ezekiel. Casting a satiric gaze on current events in Israel, the popular comic (the first of its kind in Israel) and is still going strong. Enjoy more from Kirschen on the Dry Bones Blog.
