Maria Kong Dancers Company will present a preview from their new performance at Fresh Paint 2010 on May 6, at a party which will take place in Warehouse 2, Old Jaffa Port. The company is currently working on a new performance in collaboration with choreographer Idan Cohen, which is scheduled to premiere this summer. A solo from this work will be performed at Fresh Paint.
The talented Maria Kong – Anderson Brass, Talia Landau, Leo Lerus and Yaara Moses, brought their unique magic to the stage in September 2009. Their first work “fling” is a mesmerizing evening that features violinist Yael Barolsky, with visual elements that accompany the work, created by Ori Ben Shabbat. The new work will consist of two parts. Maria Kong will perform the first part and the second part will be created in collaboration with choreographer Idan Cohen. Participating in the creation and performance of this second part will be: Artur Astman, an independent dancer and choreographer in the Artlana duo, who has also performed in “fling”, Danielle Gal, who has performed in the Kamea Dance Company and in works of choreographer Ronit Ziv, Sharon Vazana and Rita Komissarchik from Idan Cohen’s dance company.
Until the premiere of the new performance, audiences can enjoy “fling”!
