The Montagues rallied round their kinsman after actor Dan Shapira took a tumble during tonight’s general rehearsal for Romeo and Juliet at the Cameri Theatre in Tel Aviv. The play, directed by Noam Shmuel, is scheduled to premiere tomorrow night, January 4, 2011.
Shapira tripped during the rehearsal and despite trying to go on with the performance had to be escorted to seek medical attention. The severity of his injury is not yet clear and it remains to be seen if the show will go on tomorrow. Midnight East wishes Shapira a speedy and full recovery.
