Beit Avi Chai will host a musical evening in tribute to the poet Heinrich Heine, marking the 155th anniversary of his death. The event will take place on Thursday, February 17, 2011 at 19:00, in the auditorium.
The evening will open with an introduction by Prof. Jakob Hessing, Head of the Department of German Language and Literature of the Hebrew University, followed by a musical performance. Amit Friedman (Bass Baritone) and Efrat Levi (piano) will play Schumann’s ‘A Poet’s Love’ (Dichters Liebe), Schubert’s ‘Swan Song’ (Schwanengesang), selections from Brahms and other musical pieces.
