Israeli fringe theatre celebrated this week with Fringe Nights, a two day marathon of this year’s highlights, culminating with the 2010 Kipod Zahav (Golden Hedgehog) Fringe Theatre Awards Ceremony that took place on March 4, 2011, at Tzavta Theatre in Tel Aviv.

The Kipod Zahav Awards Ceremony is the initiative of the Kipod Zahav – Fringe Theatre Award in Israel Association, chaired by Yossi Frost, whose members are the fringe theatres: Hasimta, Notzar Theatre Bat Yam, The Arab-Hebrew Theatre of Jaffa, Karov Theatre, Tmuna Theatre and Tzavta Theatre. Galit Barsky is the manager of the Fringe Nights Festival and Kipod Zahav Awards Ceremony.
