During the summer, the Eretz Israel Museum in Tel Aviv will be offering a unique outdoor experience for the whole family. In a joint collaboration of the World Sand Sculpting Academy in Hague and their Israeli colleagues, giant sand installations and sculptures depicting characters and scenes from beloved children’s tales will be erected and placed in the museum’s garden.

“Tales in Sand” will take place from July 20th through August 31st, 2011, and will be open daily from 7 PM to 11 PM. The sculptures will be specially lit, and visiting children will get the chance to experiment with sand sculpting themselves, in groups led by professional sculptors.
