Daniel Pearl World Music Days celebrate the memory of Daniel Pearl, the American journalist and musician, kidnapped and murdered by terrorists in 2002, with concerts taking place throughout the world. The U.S. Embassy is hosting a concert, Jazz Voices of Israel,  in memory of Daniel Pearl on Tuesday, October 11, 2011, at 20:00 in the YMCA Auditorium on 26 King David Street, Jerusalem.

Saxophonist Shlomi Goldenberg will perform American Jazz classics with musicians and singers: Elesheva Bat-Israel, Haya Samir, Roy Yang, Shevakhia Bat-Israel, and Gideon Yuval. Admission to the concert is free, but advance reservations are required. If you would like to attend the concert, please send an email to TLVPDPE@state.gov no later than October 10 (Please type “Daniel Pearl” in the subject line, state number of tickets requested, your name and phone number. Please print out the e-mail confirmation and present it at the entrance of the YMCA Auditorium).
