Hadag Nachash and the Revolution Orchestra will rock the house at the Israeli Opera on December 12, 2011. The Classic Rock Series mixes it up with new orchestral arrangements to rock, pop and hip-hop bringing together different musical styles and revealing different aspects to familiar songs and performers. The orchestra will be conducted by Roy Oppenheim, artistic directors are Zohar Sharon and Roy Oppenheim.
This season will get off to a revolutionary start with the socially-conscious Hadag Nachash accompanied by the Revolution Orchestra with soloist Israeli soprano Efrat Ashkenazi – with the set of the opera Cavalleria Rusticana as a backdrop. Hadag Nachash needs practically no introduction, having accrued 5 gold & platinum albums in their 15 years of performing, and many accolades, including Band of the Year in 2010. They’ll be performing several well known hits, as well as new songs from their 6th album, as ever, keeping it real and writing songs that relate to the Israeli scene as they see it, no holds barred.
The songs will be performed in new arrangements created by: Zohar Sharon, Hai Meirosa, Amir Lakner, Asher Goldschmidt, Orit Gurel and Assaf Mattityahu. The playlist includes Ani Maamin (I Believe), Hinei Ani Ba (Here I Come), Little Man, Many Lights and the famous Sticker Song as well as many other Hadag Nachash hits.
The Revolution Orchestra conducted by Roy Oppenheim will perform with Hadag Nachash. This creative ensemble has been making waves with their original multi-disciplinary approach, combing orchestral music with electric instruments and performance arts. Their past works have included animation, video art, theatre and dance. Among their collaborators have been artists such as Eviatar Banai, Yermi Kaplan, Third World Love and others.
Hadag Nachash and the Revolution Orchestra will perform on December 12, 2011 at 21:00 at the Israeli Opera/Tel Aviv Performing Arts Center, 19 Shaul Hamelech Boulevard, Tel Aviv. Tickets are 135/155/175 NIS, and may be ordered online or call: 03-6927777.
