Dancers Studio Opens with Ohad Naharin

The secrets of Israeli dance will be divulged in Dancers Studio, a new series of conversations with leading Israeli choreographers, will open on January 16, 2012 with Ohad Fishof hosting Ohad Naharin.

Dancers Studio is one of several exciting new projects launched this season by the Stage-Center Theatre Workshops. Meetings in the intimate, one-on-one conversational style of the Actors Studio, will take place once a month, with the choreographers discussing their artistic vision and process.

Artistic Director and choreographer of the Bat Sheva Dance Company Ohad Naharin chose to be interviewed by multi-disciplinary performer/creator Ohad Fishof, saying that he appreciates Fishof’s work and feels there is much in common in their artistic approach. The interview will take place on January 16, 2012 at 20:00 at the Stage-Center Theatre Workshop Studio, 46 Salame Street, Tel Aviv. Tickets are 30 NIS, to order call: 03-6241654.

Future interviews include: Choreographer Sharon Eyal hosted by her partner musician Guy Behar on February 29, 2012; Yasmeen Godder hosted by Dr. Raphael Zagoury in March; Tamar Borrer hosted by a Japanese Bhutto artist in April; Noa Wertheim hosted by Tmuna Theatre Director Nava Zuckerman in May; Nir Ben Gal and Liat Dror hosted by Designer Sasson Kedem and choreographer Arkadi Zaides hosted by a student. Choreographers Noa Dar, Renana Raz, Niv Sheinfeld and Oren Laor, and Emmanuel Gat are also scheduled to participate in the program.
