In honor of Noa Eshkol’s birthday, and in conjunction with the Sharon Lockhart | Noa Eshkol exhibit, there will be a special event at the Israel Museum on Tuesday, February 28, 2012 at 20:00. Explore the unique creations and persona of Noa Eshkol, co-creator with Professor Alex Wachman of the Eshkol-Wachman Movement Notation, in an encounter with scholars, dancers and friends of Noa Eshkol.

Selections from Noa Eshkol’s dances will be performed by dancers from Noa Eshkol’s Chamber Dance Group: Racheli Nul-Kahana, Ruth Sela, Mor Bashan, Noga Goral and Hamutal Peled. Author Haim Gouri, a childhood friend of Noa Eshkol, will talk about her life; Michal Shoshani, an expert on movement notation, will discuss the Eshkol-Wachman Movement Notation. Naomi Polani will discuss movement in song and dancer Amos Hetz, former Head of the Movement Department at the Jerusalem Academy of Music and Dance, give a talk: Episodes – encounters with Noa. The evening will be moderated by Muki Dagan, Chairman of the Movement Notation Society.
