The Sounds of Childhood festival of music will take place in Holon during the Sukkot holiday, from October 2 – 4, 2012. Now in its 12th edition, the festival is under the baton of a new artistic director, pianist and conductor Dr. Uri Leshman.
The annual event seeks to foster a love of music with fun and colorful concerts, musical plays and dance performances that communicate to a young audience without compromising on quality. In this spirit, throughout the days of festival, in addition to the scheduled performances, there will be outdoor musical fun for the whole family in the Holon Theatre Plaza. A new and exciting outdoor event this year will be “My First Music Lesson” – any child who would like to try out a lesson on one of the available instruments, will be able to have a go at it, guided by teachers from the Steinberg Music Centre in Holon. Adding to the excitement will be flash mob performances of dancers from the Holon Reim Dance Centre – can’t tell you when these will happen, it’s a surprise!
