“Peacemaker Mac – The Island of Dispute,” by Yotam Cohen, will be screened at the Ottawa International Animation Festival (OIAF), taking place from September 19 – 23, 2012. The short paper and pencil style animated film was Cohen’s graduation film, created at the Bezalel Academy of Arts and Design, Jerusalem in 2011.
A retro-look, enhanced by a lively soundtrack, recalls the animation style of early cartoons à la “Steamboat Willie” (Disney 1928). Mac arrives at the “Island of Dispute” eager to make peace, and tries his full repertoire of strategies. Enjoy!
