Pecha Kucha comes to Jerusalem – October 18, 2012 at Bezalel/Yaffo23, Jerusalem, at 20:20. Entrance FREE!
The fun, fascinating and fast 20 X 20 cultural format combines the entertaining with the informative: 20 images are presented for 20 seconds each, adding up to 7 minutes stage time for each presenter. Initiated by Astrid Klein and Mark Dytham, the first Pecha Kucha took place in Tokyo, February 2003, and has since expanded worldwide.
Pecha Kucha (which loosely translated from Japanese means “chit chat”) was brought to Israel by Anat Safran and Itay Mautner, and has become so popular in Tel Aviv that these events not only regularly sell out, but in recent years has expanded to two shows per night!
The first Jerusalem Pecha Kucha promises to be special, entrance is free, but does require advance registration (remember, those places go fast!) online.
