Dreamy dancer Baryshnikov takes his turn on the other side of the camera! The legendary dancer/choreographer brings his body-conscious, intimate experience of dance to a new artistic medium, with an exhibit of dance photography that will open at the Suzanne Dellal Centre on October 24, 2012.
“Dance My Way” an exhibition of photographs by Mikhail Baryshnikov will be on display at the Suzanne Dellal Center. Opening hours are: October 24 – 26 from 10:00 – 22:00; October 27 from 10:00 – 19:00. The exhibition will close with an auction of the photographs, all proceeds will be dedicated to fostering young Israeli creativity in dance at the Suzanne Dellal Centre.
The photographs include dance luminaries Merce Cunningham, Benjamin Millepied, Mats Ek, Ohad Naharin and Alexei Ratmansky, as well as hip hop and flamenco dancers, and images of the elegant Gene Kelly.
