DICE Global Battlefield Community Manager Daniel Matros will be coming to Israel this month for GameIS 2012. The annual Israeli digital gaming conference will take place on December 19, 2012 at the Holon Cinematheque from 10:00 – 21:00.

Matros, a competitive gamer himself, will be talking about DICE from pinball machines to Battlefield and more as part of a fascinating program that makes it emphatically clear that games are far more than child’s play.

Highlights include a talk from IDF Speaker (the public voice of Zahal – Israel Defense Forces) on the Gamification of Israeli public diplomacy on the internet, as well as a look at IDF Ranks  – a game on the IDF site, designed to help visitors to the site get involved and connected.

You’ve invented a game, it’s great, wouldn’t it be nice if you could monetize it too? A panel discussion on the different aspects – legal, economic & more, of monetizing games will take place, sponsored by Taptica, with opportunities for questions from the audience.

A preview of new games developed in Israel in 2012, GameIS Awards 2012 with over 100 games competing, games on exhibit in the foyer and much more await the intrepid visitor. Tickets for the day are 150 NIS and may be purchased online www.cinemaholon.org.il or at the Holon Cinematheque Box Office 03-5021552.

Check out the GameIS site for the full program and additional information.
