Wine, love and falling stars take on an reflective, often wry and melancholy note in the poetry of Avraham Halfi. One of the loveliest, Atur Mitzchech (Your Forehead is Ornamented), is best known as sung by Arik Einstein, with Yehudit Ravitz, Korin Allal and Avner Kenner, to music composed by Yoni Rechter.
On Thursday, January 3, 2013, composer and bassist Ehud Ettun will perform new arrangements to Arik Einstein and Yoni Rechter’s 1988 album of Avraham Halfi’s songs. Performing with Ettun will be Daniel Schwarzwald on piano, Matan Asayag on drums, and special guests Yael Deckelbaum (vocals) and Eli Degibri (vocals, saxophone). Listen to a preview from rehearsals:
