Cultural salvage and preservation, or looting? That is the question Benny Brunner’s new film, The Great Book Robbery, seeks to answer, as it tracks books collected from the homes of Palestinians in Jerusalem, Haifa, Jaffa and other places in 1948.
The Israeli premiere of The Great Book Robbery will take place at the Tel Aviv Cinematheque on January 3, 2013 at 19:00.
The film includes interviews with eyewitnesses to the events of 1948, archival footage, CGI (computer generated images), and documents. Read more about the project on The Great Book Robbery website.
