Dancer/Choreographer Ronit Ziv will present a 40 minute marathon of dance: an evening of 4 dance pieces, each ten minutes long. A dancer with a strong stage presence, as a choreographer, Ziv takes a bold look at people, relationships and situations, with sensitivity, humor, and intelligence.
The program will include:
Cassandra – inspired by the figure of Cassandra in Aeschylus’ Agamemnon, Apollo granted her the gift of prophecy, yet the god’s gift was a curse, as she was never to be believed. Music: Johannes Brahms, Performers: Geffen Lieberman, Sophie Krantz, Rehearsal Manager: Niv Marinberg. Premiere.
Nagid She… (Let’s Say…) – A woman standing before a live audience becomes a ticking time bomb. Performer: Ronit Ziv. Premiere.
Matkot (yes – the ubiquitous noisy beach game!) – the second act of Ziv’s Tide, a series of different encounters between a matka and a towel, and between two women. Music: Ran Bagno; Performers: Geffen Lieberman, Sophie Krantz; Rehearsal Manager: Iris Marko.
Rose is Not Waiting – Unlocking the secret of loneliness, a woman shut off from the world.
