Filmmaker Dana Goldberg calls The Raven, a short film created for her YouTube channel Pocketcam Quest, “my own private remembrance day.”
A raven perches on an antenna, a black emblem outlined on the Tel Aviv skyline. A woman’s voice is heard, training the dark winged creature to recognize home, to be certain of it’s return. She trusts the bird with her innermost wish.
On this day, when we remember those who have lost their lives in violent conflict, I would like to share this film that speaks in the language of loss, in the hope that it will stir your heart as it has touched mine, and bring us all closer to understanding one another.
