The Jerusalem International Chamber Music Festival, August 28th – September 9th, is returning for its 16th year, with artists and loyal fans from all over the world returning for the annual event. This year’s festival consists of nine chamber concerts from the familiar canon, and an additional piano recital by pianist Andras Schiff.

The Jerusalem Chamber Musical festival has had a significant place among musical events in Israel since its conception 16 years ago, introducing a diverse repertoire of chamber music and an impressive lineup of some of the world’s finest musicians.

Under the artistic direction of pianist Elena Bashkirova, this year’s festival explores the theme of the ‘Quintet’, presenting ensembles comprised of variations of five instruments including string, wind and piano. In addition to the known and loved quintet creations of classical composers such as Mozart, Beethoven, Schubert and Brahms, Israeli composer Eyal Adler will also be premiering his new Quintet.
The festival will also celebrate the fifty-year anniversary of the death of prolific American composer Paul Hindemith and centenary births of composers Britten and Lutoslawaski.
For the first time this year, the festival has joined forces with the Jerusalem Academy of Music and Dance in the International Summer Course for the Academy of Strings, Voice and Chamber Music. The course is intended for young, emerging musicians from around the world, bringing together hundreds of young professionals from Israel, Europe, America, Asia and Australia. Internationally renowned guest artists will be hosting master classes and workshops throughout the course.
Concerts will take place at the YMCA concert hall, 26 David Hamelech Street, Jerusalem. Tickets are 150 NIS, with discounts for groups, seniors and friends of the festival. For tickets and information visit www.jcmf.org.il or call 02-625-0444.

I need information about the intonations festival 2014 in the jewish museum in Berlin. I attended in 2013 and thought it was wonderful, and was hoping to attend again.
