The Jerusalem Season of Culture has issued a press release, announcing their decision to postpone events scheduled for the coming weeks, in response to the continuing conflict in the region.
Jerusalem Season of Culture press release:
Right now, as war and violence rage around us, we have decided to postpone our activities, take time to assess the changing reality, and respond in the most appropriate way to the current situation. As long as the war continues, the Jerusalem Season of Culture’s events will not carry on as planned. We look forward to the quickest possible end to the conflict and will resume our normal activities the moment a ceasefire is announced.
We believe, with all our hearts, in the power of art to bring about change, but feel that we cannot carry on as normal when nothing else is normal. However, we will not remain idle. We will present a new artistic action very soon, and invite you to declare, together with us: We are here.
After careful consideration, we have decided that both the In-House Festival and Under the Mountain, both of which were slated to take place this week, will not happen as planned. All ticket holders will receive a full refund and be afforded top priority for ticket reservations to these events at a later date. A special message will be sent to you separately.
