Ever wished you could have an intimate chat with a well-known cultural figure you admire, like a playwright, author or artist? Well, it turns out that they feel the same way. We all have some person we’d heard about, read about and admired, that we wish we could meet in person, but if you happen to be a cultural figure yourself – there’s a better chance of making it happen. It just might be a little more public…MoBY (Museums of Bat Yam) will host 1 + 1, an evening of intimate conversations open to the public on Tuesday, February 9.

Opening the evening at 19:30 will be Joshua Sobol, playwright and author, who has invited Esther Zandberg, architectural critic of Haaretz. The marathon continues with Asaf Shor, writer and translator, who will talk to the Sala-manca group — Lea Mauas and Diego Rotman, Jerusalem based artists. At 20:30, Doron Ravina, artist, curator and Head of the Midrasha Art School will have a tête-a-tête with actor Doron Tavory.

Light refreshments will be served. There is no entrance fee, but pre-registration is required. Call 03-6591140 or send an email to info.moby@bat-yam.muni.il. This is also the final week of the exhibit “Idiolect” featuring artists Nelly Agassi, Eitan Buganim, Jan Tichy, Barak Ravitz and Hillel Roman.
