Standout performances with the piano at center stage distinguish the Piano Festival, which will take place from October 21 – 24, 2015 at the Tel Aviv Museum of Art. Over 250 musicians will be performing this year, and the festival is expanding its geographic range, with performances at Beit Ariela and the Cameri Theatre, as well as the Brodet Center and Einav Cultural Center.

This year for the first time, the festival will also present an international performance: Peter Kember – Sonic Boom and founding member of Spacemen 3, in a solo performance. Friday, October 23rd at 20:30, Asia Hall, Tel Aviv Museum of Art.

Acollective – always eclectic, experimental and exploding with good energy. Their first ever performance at the Piano Festival was in 2012 and they blew my mind: “deconstructing and celebrating the piano with a mad, hallucinatory concert, a party for the thinking person with dancing feet.”  Wednesday, October 21st at 22:30, Recanati Hall, Tel Aviv Museum of Art

Shye Ben Tzur is a mesmerizing musician, a true fusion of cultures, bringing Indian, Israeli and Western music traditions together to create pure pleasure. In this intimate, acoustic concert he’ll be collaborating with Asaf Roth on xylophone and Nagara master drummer Solanki Nathu Lal. Thursday, October 22nd at 20:00, at the Einav Cultural Center * update * Unfortunately, this performance has been cancelled due to the musician’s illness.
