Tmuna Theatre will hold its Alternative Holocaust Remembrance Ceremony on Wednesday, May 4, 2016 at 22:00, at the theatre, 8 Soncino St. Tel Aviv. An 18 year tradition, the ceremony is under the artistic direction of its founder, Avi Gibson Bar-el, and will be hosted by Sarit Vino Elad.

The ceremony at Tmuna focuses on issues relating to the Holocaust from the personal perspective of the speakers, many of whom are third generation. Hosted by actor Sarit Vino Elad, the evening’s speakers will include: MK and former broadcaster Zuhair Bahalul; director, writer and political theologian Udi Aloni; the writer Ishay Sarid; journalist Merav Batito; musician Ruth Dolores Weiss; Head of Beit Midrash BeKolot and social activist Lior Tal Sadeh; musician and actor Amnon Fisher; Avi Gibson Bar-el; actor and director Smadar Yaaron; Manager of an Israeli children’s NGO and the immigration sector of the Association for Civil Rights in Israel Rotem Ilan; actor Motti Rosenzweig. As in every year, the evening will be simultaneously translated into sign language by Lee Dan. Artistic consultation: Nava Zuckerman and Sarit Sabo; artistic guidance: Amir Orian.
