Sunday, August 20th

The Boom Boom Boys will be performing at the Hoodna Bar (Abarbanel 13) with a very special guest – the band’s original bass player Yehuda Itzhak Halevy (just in from Madrid). Blues & Booz – Led Zeppelin Concept Night featuring Danny Shoshan – soloist of The Churchills (one of the first Israeli rock bands, active 1965 – mid 70s)!  All happening at Pasaz  (94 Allenby), doors open at 22:00, admission 10 NIS. Wednesday, August 23rd

RPS Surfers will be performing at Kuli Alma (Mikve Israel 10)! Music from their recently released album Harake Gang – a tribute to the Tel Aviv bikers of the 60s. Special guests: Ella Daniel (The Betty Bears) and Eylon (The Crotches), as well as VJ Zohar Dvir & DJ Schoolmaster with pre & post show sets. Doors open at 21:30, show at 22:00 ish. Wednesday, August 30th

Hoodna Orchestra featuring Demisu Belete at the Red Sea Jazz Festival in Eilat /! Ethiopian singer and poet Belete wrote the lyrics to Hoodna’s single Yelben, a song of love and yearning with a seductive beat, recorded with vocalist Tesfaye Negatu, who immigrated to Israel at the age of 15. Following that long-distance collaboration, the band began working with Belete on their new single Alem, released August 18th. The Hoodna Orchestra: Composer & musical director Ilan Smilan – Electric Guitar, Tomer Zuk – Keyboards, Amir Sadot – Bass Guitar, Elad Gellert – Baritone Saxophone, Eylon Tushiner – Tenor Saxophone, Rom Shani – Alto Saxophone, Uri Selinger- Trombone, Itamar Ben-Yakir – Trumpet, Shahar Ber – Percussion, Rani Birenbaum – Percussion, Raz Eytan – Percussion, Matan Asayag – Drums.
