Singaporean-born British violinist Vanessa Mae will arrive in Israel for one concert only at the Menora Mivtachim Aren on October 28, 2019. Accompanying Vanessa Mae will be musicians of the Raanana Symphonette and the Tel Aviv Collegium Singers. The concert is produced in Israel by Live Nation Israel/Bluestone Group, Shay Mor Yosef and Guy Beser. Ticket prices begin at 330 NIS, and will be on sale from Monday, September 9, 2019. Vanessa Mae is a world-famous violinist, a versatile virtuoso known for her classical crossover style, merging reggae, pop, jazz and classical music. A child prodigy who began studying music at age 4, she made her professional debut in 1988 at age 10, at the Schleswig-Holstein Musik Festival in Germany, and in that year made her concerto debut in London onstage with the Philharmonia Orchestra. Her first pop-style album, The Violin Player, was released in 1995. Over the course of her career she has collaborated with well-known artists in different musical genres, such as Janet Jackson and Prince. Among her achievements – at age 13 she set a Guiness World Record as the youngest soloist to record Beethoven and Tchaikovsky violin concertos! In addition to her musical career, she is an avid skier, and represented Thailand (her biological father is from Thailand) in alpine skiing at the 2014 Winter Olympics.
