Zipi Pines, Director of the Beit Lessin Theatre, received the Paul Harris Award from Rotary International for her contribution to the community. The Rotary judges chose to honor Zipi Pines for her service to society and the community, her contribution, efforts, and success in bringing the community, including youth, closer to theatre in the Southern and Central parts of Israel.
Pines received the award with her fellow Paul Harris Award recipients: Itzhak Herzog, Minister of Welfare and Social Services, Major General (Ret.) Doron Almog, and Nava Barak, President of Elem.
The honorees received the award in a ceremony organized by Rotary Israel, the local branch of Rotary International. The Paul Harris Award was established in memory of Rotary Club founder Paul Harris and is awarded annually to recognize those who have made it their mission to contribute to the community in Israel.
