If you missed seeing Diary of a Wimpy Kid, at the Tel Aviv International Children’s Film Festival in October, here’s another chance – the Tel Aviv Cinematheque will screen the movie throughout the Hannukah holiday, from December 2 – 25, 2010. Based on the novel by Jeff Kinney, and directed by Thor Freudenthal, the movie stars Zachary Gordon as Greg Heffley, aka the Wimpy Kid and Robert Capron as his friend Rowley.

The film takes cool, comic look at the awkward race for popularity of those happy pre-teen years, through Greg’s wise-cracking commentary on his daily joys and woes. If you don’t have (or know) any kids, it’s a chance to laugh (or cringe) at the distant memories of seventh grade.
