Midnight East is ready to hum, crackle, pop & jump for joy – Digital Primitives will perform in Israel next week at Levontin 7 in Tel Aviv on February 5 & 9, 2011 at 20:00. A suggestion of the eclectic energy and sheer fun of this amazing trio – tenor saxophonist & bass clarinetist Assif Tsahar, pianist & instrument builder Cooper Moore, and drummer/percussionist Chad Taylor can be heard online, but don’t miss this chance to experience the band playing live!
Israeli-born Tsahar, co-founder of Levontin 7, founded Hopscotch records in 1999, a not for profit record label where the musicians produce their own albums with complete control of all artistic decisions. Digital Primitives has recorded two albums on the label: Digital Primitives and Hum, Crackle & Pop.
The band tours extensively, and in December 2009, Cooper Moore and Assif Tsahar took part in the 1000 Stars Festival in Arba Minch South Ethiopia – you can hear some sound clips from this trip online, and a peek of Cooper Moore on the mouth-bow on YouTube, but there’s nothing like the real thing – next week at Levontin 7.
